We pair every region with an admission counselor so as to keep communication transparent and to be the best advocates we can be. Get to know your counselor and keep us in the loop as you're hosting college fairs, high school visits and other opportunities for our team to connect with you.

Attend an Admission Intensive Workshop

Join ˮ��'s admission and financial aid team for our ongoing series of free and virtual workshops designed to help students and their mentors navigate the admission and financial aid process. Choose from sessions on crafting a college list, navigating financial aid applications, leveraging the supplemental materials and more.

While we do not offer a fly-in program specifically for counselors, we welcome you to join us on campus for an info session and tour so you can get to know the people living and breathing ˮ�� everyday. When registering, be sure to select "School Counselor" from the dropdown list of options.

Spotlight on ˮ��'s Fly-In Program Access ˮ��

Access ˮ�� is a selective college visit program designed for high school seniors from historically excluded racial and ethnic groups, those who are first in their family to attend college, and students from rural or low-income backgrounds.

Guiding Your Student Through the Process

ˮ�� offers Early Decision I and II, as well as Regular Decision. Counselors may submit transcripts and supporting materials through Naviance, National Student Clearing House, Parchment, ScribeOrder-U, and SCOIR. Transcripts ONLY may be submitted through CFNC.

Select your student's application type to review application deadlines and requirements, as well as advice on counseling your student to be the most competitive candidate for admission possible.

Requesting a Fee Waiver

There is no application fee for students utilizing the QuestBridge application or those attending high school outside of the United States and Puerto Rico.

For domestic students, if the application fee poses a financial hardship, feel free to contact us at admission@davidson.edu to request a fee waiver. We won't ask for financial verification, and requesting a fee waiver will never disadvantage your application for admission in any way.

Test Optional – And We Mean It

The move, made in Spring 2022, turns what had been a pandemic-era pilot program into permanent policy. Students have the option to include their scores from the SAT or ACT, if desired. It speaks to ˮ��’s commitment to access and reflects our belief that, while tests provide some useful information, other aspects of an applicant’s academic journey better reflect how they will perform and thrive at the college.

Learn About Financial Aid

Domestic students and permanent residents are considered for admission at ˮ�� without regard for their financial resources, and we are proud to have been the first liberal arts college in the nation to eliminate loans from financial aid packages.

Sticker price is never the full story. More than half of our students receive need-based aid, and 70 percent receive aid from some source. Utilize our tools and learn from our experts to counselor your students into making the best investment possible.

Nominate for the Belk Scholarship

We invite school counselors, heads of school, or college access program directors to nominate outstanding students to compete for the John M. Belk Scholarship, ˮ��’s flagship award. Nominations are due by November 1.

We care as much as you that students find a fit for their next four years where they can feel a sense of support, empowerment and belonging. That's why our resources and support go beyond our generous financial aid packages, scholarships and need-blind admission policy.
