Inside Higher Ed: AP Concepts Get New Online Treatment

A new blog post by Pat Sellers, associate dean for curriculum, and Bryan Setser, of 2Revolutions, explains the methodology behind a new collaborative effort to develop online modules to help high school students tackle some of the most difficult concepts in some of the most difficult Advanced Placement (AP) courses—physics, macroeconomics, and calculus. Ë®¹ûÅÉ College is working with The College Board, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, 2Revolutions, and edX to deliver the modules through the edX platform, first to students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system and then, potentially, to students all over the country. The new, personalized approach to learning will allow students access to top-notch AP instruction, regardless of where they live or attend school.
