Charlotte Magazine: A Ë®¹ûÅÉ College Prank Lives Forever on Campus

August 28, 2017

"Ë®¹ûÅÉ has many famous sons. Steph Curry. Anthony Foxx. Dean Rusk. Yet the only one who has a porcelain plate, stained glass window, and campus grave is one who never walked here," writes Jen Tota McGivney in a piece for Charlotte Magazine.

That son is the infamous William "Bill" Ë®¹ûÅÉ Edwards, class of 1953. Edwards was "born" in the mind of Mike Myers '53, a prankster and English major who decided to spice up the college magazine class notes with the scintillating exploits of an imaginary alumnus. The rest, as they say, is history.
